Update: On December 19, 2022, nearly 200 countries agreed to protect 30% of the planet by 2030 at COP 15 - the largest agreement to date.
Urge world leaders to protect 30% of the ocean by 2030.
More than 70% of our planet is covered in water, and yet less than 2% of the ocean is fully protected.
This year, global leaders from 196 countries will meet in Canada at the Convention on Biological Diversity to decide on the future for our ocean and planet. This is our chance to demand they take decisive action to revive and protect our most beloved marine ecosystems, and work to save our climate. We must make world leaders face the reality of our planet’s vanishing wildlife and finally step up to committing to protect 30% of our land and seas by 2030.
Only One is joining forces with PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) and SeaLegacy to ask all of you to lend your signatures and voices to demand protection of 30% of the ocean by 2030.
