We are at a critical moment for the future of Ireland’s seas. Did you know that a recent survey showed that 98% of Irish people want more marine protected areas? And yet, the government continues to delay proposed legislation that could safeguard marine life and coastal communities.

But now is a moment of opportunity. The Irish Government has drafted new Marine Protected Area (MPA) legislation, but is delaying its release. We are working with @fairseasireland to pressure the Irish Government to make the changes needed for a healthy ocean in Ireland and to release this legislation without delay.
