Advancing community-based mangrove restoration in Senegal

Local people are revitalizing 80,000 hectares of mangrove forest to safeguard valuable marine coastal ecosystems.

The planted propagules in Adoukhé became strong plants and well distributed. The plants have grown successfully estimated at an 85% growth rate after four months. We are satisfied with the mangroves restored in this beautiful site.
