Biden moves one step closer to declaring emergency for East Palestine

In response to the toxic chemical train derailment in February, President Biden has taken a step forward toward getting East Palestine the aid that it needs. He's recently appointed Jim McPherson as the federal coordinator through FEMA, tasking him with identifying unmet needs overlooked by Norfolk Southern, the responsible party in this environmental crisis. Crucially, Mr. McPherson has 60 days to provide President Biden with a recommendation regarding a disaster declaration for East Palestine.

This means that until November 19th, we must amplify our voices to ensure Mr. McPherson senses the nation's attention and urges President Biden to deliver the essential aid East Palestine requires. Together, let's make sure our message is heard loud and clear. Sign our petition today, and join more than 15,000 others who are calling on President Biden to declare an emergency in East Palestine.
