Join Cristina Mittermeier, Ali Tabrizi, and Carl Safina for a conversation on driftnets, and the road to banning this deadly fishing practice.

A unique conversation on driftnets

SeaLegacy and Seaspiracy are teaming up for a digital event on September 9th to talk about the deadly use of driftnets off the coast of California and the acute dangers of fishing subsidies.

In this one-hour conversation, you will learn firsthand from world-renowned photographer Cristina Mittermeier and Seaspiracy documentary's director Ali Tabrizi about their eye-opening experiences on the front lines of ocean conservation, the progress being made in the campaign to ban driftnets in the United States, and the path forward for a healthier, more abundant ocean. The conversation will be moderated by ecologist and writer Carl Safina, prefaced with a video featuring Paul Nicklen, and will feature remarks from the United States Senator Feinstein.
