Today, our petition calling on leaders to fund research on the impact of plastic in our blood was delivered to the Prime Minister of the UK by our partners at Common Seas. 100,000+ people signed their names calling for change and asking the government to urgently take action against the threat of microplastics in human blood. We are hopeful that the Chancellor of the Exchequer will announce urgent funding for research on the health impacts of plastic in his first budget allocation on the 15th March. In the meantime, check out our podcast, Discarded, to learn more about the harmful effects of plastic on human health, and continue to help us further support communities facing challenges from large petrochemical corporations by signing these two petitions: - No more toxic plastic plants in Cancer Alley - Hold Shell accountable in Pennsylvania
