Today, @theoxygenproj, @soalliance, @deep_sea_conserve, and @onlyone are celebrating the victory of delivering your names to global leaders and key figures at @ourocean2023 to help protect an extraordinary and critical ecosystem thousands of meters below us. This is an incredible moment of progress for the deep sea – we could not have done this without your support.

We would also like to offer a special thank you to the governments of Palau and Panama for co-hosting this event with us – your commitment to ocean advocacy will inspire others around the world.

We are speechless — more than 250,000 of you joined our campaign in overwhelming support to put a stop to #DeepSeaMining. 

Now, we are delivering your name to global leaders and key figures during @ourocean2023 in an effort to elevate the growing global concern to protect the deep sea.

What's next? This letter delivery comes just before the next critical meeting at the International Seabed Authority (ISA) — the governing body that will ultimately decide the fate and protection of the deep sea. This campaign will serve as a voice from the global community, demonstrating to the ISA that #DeepSeaMining is neither wanted nor needed.
