Coral reefs are home to an estimated 25% of all marine life, a vivid and vibrant neighborhood filled with everything from fish and lobster, to seahorses and sponges. Despite “taking root” like most plants, corals are in fact “sessile” animals, permanently attaching themselves to the ocean floor as they grow and flourish ever so slowly, taking hundreds of thousands of years to reach their full form 🐠⏳
