Despite their differences in size, shape, (and ability to travel), corals are in fact closely related to jellyfish, a familiar and many tentacled friend found in warm shallows, cold seas, and even fresh water. By sharing an ancient ancestry with a group of creatures known as cnidarians, both corals and jellyfish belong to this unique family of ocean-dwellers with specialized cells, arms, or tentacles used for catching prey 🍴
