Photo of the day

The feline friend we see in our photo today isn’t your usual mog — with wetland-ready webbed paws and a canny ability to lure fish, the mangrove fishing cat is far more at home in the water than on land. Thought to be one of the world’s only wild cats specifically adapted to thrive in coastal habitats, fishing cats are wetland dwellers, dependent on the refuge of mangrove tree roots and a healthy ecosystem to support their fishy habitats 🐟
