Mangroves, which we also call “ocean trees,” provide a healthy home and ecosystem for land dwellers and marine creatures alike — including the intricate, highly embellished, and unusual-looking sargassum fish, also known as a frog fish, in today’s photo. A vital resource found on the coasts of 118 tropical and subtropical countries, global mangrove forests total more than 137,000 square kilometers — an area roughly equivalent to the size of Greece! 🌱🇬🇷
