Back in November 2022, we reached a fantastic landmark in shark protection, with an overwhelming majority of global leaders voting to protect requiem sharks, the biggest measure of its kind in CITES (Convention on the International Trade of Endangered Species) history! Requiem sharks are one of the ocean’s largest and most important shark families, and have been fished to the edge of extinction, and so this campaign win could not have been more timely or more needed 🌊🦈
