For the first time in history, Australia has blocked the creation of a new coal mine in Queensland under environmental laws, recognising the significant risk of sediment and run-off damaging the Great Barrier Reef and local water resources. Good news like this is becoming more frequent, as we work to prevent further harm and protect future coral in and beyond the world’s largest reef system! 🇦🇺
