A staggering 99% of plastic is made from fossil fuels, with Big Oil (aka the six largest oil companies in the world) remaining at the epicenter of manufacturing by fueling the industry with the vast drums of oil all too often found discarded at the bottom of the ocean. Despite the ongoing damage, we’ve seen meaningful progress with independent administrators holding Big Oil to account, helping to recover $9 billion from those responsible for oil spills over the last 30 years! 🛢⏳
