Ocean trees are carbon-hungry wonder plants, growing in leafy green groups across tropical coasts on and around the equator. As they grow and mature, mangroves begin to shape secret saltwater woodlands like the one pictured above, found in Cambodia. These brackish havens go by many names, and are also known as mangrove swamps, ocean rainforests, or as simply “mangals” 🌱🇰🇭
