Photo of the day

Our photo today shows the supremely camouflaged pygmy seahorse, a rare and beautifully peculiar animal that spends its life attached exclusively to Gorgonian sea fans. Discovered purely by accident by a scientist researching Muricella corals in 1969, these seahorses are smaller than a paperclip at less than two centimeters in size, craftily disguised by their distinctively coral-like knobbly skin and color match magic 🪄
