The island nation of Samoa is working on an ambitious plan called the Samoa Ocean Strategy to ensure a sustainable future for its people and maintain ecosystems, wildlife, cultural heritage, and economic growth. Samoa has also committed to fully protecting 30% of its vibrant waters by 2025. When the ocean is truly protected, reefs and the astonishing life they support can recover and flourish.
