Mangrove roots are renowned for their ability to thrive in salty water and efficiently capture carbon, but they also do a fantastic job binding sand, soil, and sediment, helping to protect the shoreline from damaging coastal erosion. Known for their resilience in the face of stormy weather, these root networks also provide a cozy home for mangrove vegetation, a nutrient-rich ecosystem supporting healthy sediment deposits 🌿
