Photo of the day

It’s World Seagrass Day! These lush underwater meadows do a remarkable job of capturing carbon, sequestering it 35 times faster than tropical rainforests and burying it deep below the seafloor to protect it for thousands of years to come. Despite covering just 0.2% of the ocean floor, seagrass is a precious natural resource that provides a canny solution to the climate crisis. It’s time to celebrate our marine gardens! 🌱
