Whilst wind-generated power is more geographically suited to Europe, deep ocean currents have a huge potential for more consistent and reliable energy sources across the globe, with a prototype turbine set to be placed in Japan’s Kuroshio current expected to generate as much as 200 gigawatts; that’s enough energy to power 150 million homes! We have an opportunity to protect our deep sea and innovate with ocean-led technology, instead of mining it. Add your voice to our petition and spread the word only.one/act/mining 🌊
