Today we’re celebrating the International Day for Biological Diversity, an annual recognition of the biodiversity issues threatening our planet, and an opportunity to raise awareness and create real and sustained change. The curious manatee in our photo today, also fondly nicknamed the sea cow, feeds on seagrass meadows, the very same resource that accounts for up to 18% of ocean carbon storage, despite covering less than 0.1% of the seafloor!
