Plastic is a convenient resource: lightweight, cheap to produce, and easy to use, but a material we are quick to discard. The chunk of styrofoam in our photo today is a single-use material that comprises a devastating 90% of all marine debris, a statistic our plastic removal partners are tackling across the globe. So far, Only One members have collectively stopped over 75,000 kilograms of ocean-bound plastic — that’s about as heavy as a small blue whale! 🐳
