Stand For Trees, one of our dedicated carbon reduction partners, are on a mission to safeguard the majestic “cloud forests” in Izabal, Guatemala, protecting almost 54,500 hectares of luscious forest spanning the entire Caribbean coastline. This area includes the Mesoamerican Biological Corridor, a vital location hosting an expansive 120 bird species as they make their biannual journey soaring between North and South America. The indigenous communities local to the area play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of the work through active participation in consultation, decision-making, and implementation of activities on the ground.
