Photo of the day

We’ve got a problem with plastics. An estimated eight million tons enters our ocean every year, with a devastating eight million pieces of plastic making their way into our seas every single day. Whilst the future of our planet can feel bleak and overwhelming, our ever-growing community of Only One members supports projects taking direct action to prevent ocean-bound plastic from reaching the coast. In East Bali, the changemakers at Sungai Watch, featured in today’s photo, are on a mission to remove a mighty 50,000 kilograms of non-organic waste from the rivers, mangroves, and beaches that provide a home to upward of 90% of Bali’s population. Plastic has no borders, but with your support, we can give marine life an opportunity to heal and thrive in an ecosystem built to last 🌏 🌊
