Below the waterline across the equatorial belt, you can discover the underwater jungles of the ocean’s spellbinding trees. Their often vertical cone roots (pneumatophores) are known to spring up from the seabed, and create a naturally innovative “carbon sink” that works to absorb carbon dioxide from the air to then cleverly store it in their tangled web of roots and branches. Whilst many ocean tree restoration projects struggle to succeed, Eden Reforestation Projects, one of our partners planting mangroves on behalf of Only One members, has an impressive seedling survival rate exceeding 80%. It’s thanks to your support that for each tree planted, we see a remarkable generation of between 1.5 and 5 times more trees. Let’s keep planting! 🌱 🔍
