Marine mammals are remarkable — as full-time ocean dwellers they still need to breathe air to survive, designed to navigate the world by dipping and diving above and below the surface of the ocean. One of the largest of the 32 known dolphin species, the agile Atlantic white-sided dolphins (Lagenorhynchus acutus), are known as the acrobats of the Atlantic, traveling in large, social pods that typically interact with boats and curious onlookers. Facing huge threat from a vicious annual culling in the Faroe Islands, Only One members are petitioning with the Whale and Dolphin Conservation organization to ask the Faroese Prime Minister Bárður á Steig Nielsen to take a firm regulatory stance against the slaughter of dolphins in their waters.
