Through our partner CleanHub’s project, Only One members are funding the removal of 50,000 kilograms of plastic in five different locations across India and Indonesia, equivalent to five million plastic bottles! The project is stopping ocean-bound plastic, converting non-recyclable plastic into energy, and empowering local communities to become waste management experts. CleanHub is at the forefront of building and using tracking technology to recover plastic waste before it reaches landfills or the ocean — their team has set up a live plastics removal tracker for Only One, which shows in real time how close you and your fellow members are to hitting the goal of recovering 50,000 kilograms of ocean-bound plastic 🙌 By thinking outside the box, CleanHub’s team now has the capability to process more plastic waste than the 11 million tonnes entering our ocean every year.
