World leaders have announced that the first negotiation on the global plastics treaty will be held from Nov. 28th to Dec. 2nd in Punta del Este, Uruguay The negotiation comes after a February agreement between more than 175 countries to draft a legally-binding global plastics treaty to address the full lifecycle of plastic pollution. The February agreement was a historic first step towards meaningful progress on plastics; however, many of the key details must still be negotiated. If you haven’t already, please take a moment to add your name to our petition calling for a global plastics treaty, and then share it with your friends. We’re more than 80% of the way to our goal of 75k signatures!
